| The management of the IMS is vested on a Governing body consisting of sixteen members, Vice-chancellor of the University being the chairperson. Administration of IMS is governed by the Statue of the institute.
The executive power of the Institute is hold by the Director, appointed for three years by the University authority from the teachers of IMS on rotation in sequence of seniority.
Crucial matters of the management of the institute is decided by its Planning Committee chaired by the Director and consisting of at least three members.
Academic matters are resolved and most academic decisions are made by the Academic Committee of the institute, of which all the teachers are members.
The curriculum for various degree programs are designed by the Committee of Courses and Studies consisting of ten teachers and two members from outside, and approved by the university authority.
As long as not in contradiction with the University Rules and Regulations, the Planning Committee and Academic Committee may form short term mission oriented committees within their respective areas of jurisdictions for realizing various administrative, academic and development objectives of the institute. |
